Krause leads Patriots in 50-14 Win

OLATHE, KS – Sophomore Micah Krause played his best game of the season scoring 3 touchdowns as the Patriots dominated the undermanned Drexel Bobcats by a score of 50-14.  Grant Stamatis rushed for his second consecutive 100+ yard game and also scored a touchdown.  The starting defense did not allow the Bobcats to penetrate into CPA territory until the final minute of the first half.

Quarterback Noah Blair completed 3 of his 6 passes; two went for touchdowns to Krause and Jonathan Layman.  The Patriots used twelve different ball carriers.  Josiah Gerard and Austin Weaver each only carried the ball once but both scored – Weaver on a 38 yard run up the middle and Gerard weaved his way 34 yards for his TD.

Robert Gessler and Stamatis led the defense with 8 total tackles.  Several players recorded their first tackles this season including sophomore safety Ben Mosley who notched four.  Jordan Wiles intercepted the Bobcats and returned it 10 yards for his biggest play of the year.

The post game celebration was punctuated by assistant Coach Tyrone Parrish’s marriage proposal to Elizabeth Garrett.
